Surgeon Aykut Özpür MD (About me)Surgeon Aykut Özpür MD was born in 1982 in Isparta. After finishing Gönen Anatolian Teacher`s High School, he started to study medicine at the Medical Faculty of Celal Bayar University. At the medical faculty, he deepened his knowledge and experience in the fields of plastic surgery and microsurgery, which was his dream since his high school years and started thereafter his education as a physician for Plastic, Reconstructive and Esthetic Surgery at Bezmialem (Vakıf Gureba EAH) University.

Surgeon Özpür especially concentrated his work in the fields of microsurgery, free tissue transplantation and stem cells deriving from the fat tissue. In order to reduce the death rate in cases of large-scale skin loss in many parts of the body and in order to obtain healthy skin, he started his work concerning artificial biological skin on the basis of stem cells. This work has been honored with the SANTEZ project support of the Ministry of Science and Industry. The results of the research study and the clinical study, which took more than two and a half years, have been presented at the National Congress for Plastic, Reconstructive and Esthetic Surgery in 2013. With this work, Özpür has been awarded the first prize in the competition of assistants in the field of experimental medicine. The article concerning the Biological Skin, which tells the story of this work, has been published in one of the most prestigious magazines for plastic surgery, the “Plastic Reconstructive Surgery” and has been awarded the best article of the year. Similarly, Özpür participated in projects, which have been supported by the Ministry of science and Industry and were related with artificial biological bone tissue. He has published his work in national and international magazines. In national congresses, he shared his work with oral presentations.

Surgeon Aykut Özpür MD is married and father of a son and a daughter. He continues to provide service in Fulya Terrace.
