Breast lift surgery is an operation performed for women with sagging breasts due to breastfeeding, weight changes, aging or for no other reason. Basically, in this surgery, the nipple is taken to the upper level where it should be, the sagging excess skin tissue is removed, and the sagging breast tissue is shaped. If the volume of breast tissue is insufficient, silicone breast prostheses can be used.

Breast lift surgery can be performed on all adult women. It is more suitable to be performed 6 months after the end of pregnancy and breastfeeding. During this period, the breast will shrink and the sagging will be determined exactly. After this surgery, you can become pregnant or breastfeed again, but the milk glands, ducts and nipple must be preserved during the operation.

How is the postoperative period?
The operation lasts between 2-4 hours depending on the planned procedure. The pain is usually not disturbing. It is under control with painkillers. There are thin skin-coloured bands on the breast. A sports bra is worn immediately after the operation. After one day, a shower can be taken over the bands. It is recommended to wear the bra for 6-8 weeks. Swelling is evident in the first three days after surgery. It starts to decrease rapidly after three days. In the early period, walking and sports that do not strain the arms can be done. Active sports can be started after six weeks.
Breast is an organ consisting entirely of soft tissues. It undergoes changes due to effects such as gravity, pregnancy, weight gain and loss. After the surgery, there will be changes over the years depending on the skin quality of the person and the condition of the breast tissue. As a result, the breast tissue does not return to its former state because it is suspended and excess skin tissue is removed. The breast maintains its form and fullness for a long time.
